More About Greg

In 1992, 9-Ball came to Australia and Greg again achieved rapid success. He was 2nd in the NSW 9-Ball Championships and then followed with a 1st in the Inaugural Australian 9-Ball Championships. This introduced him to the world stage again, this time through Pool.

His first match was against the now deceased Hall of Fame pool legend Steve Mizerak. Greg had decided to forget who his opponent was and just believed in his ability. This attitude nearly brought a major upset, even though Greg was defeated he still accounted for himself well in losing 3 sets to 2 and in the process found another cue sport he could excel at.

Greg has gone on to claim three Australian 9-Ball titles, the most recent in 2007, some thirteen years after his last title so never count him out. He has been selected to represent Australia in Pool (8 & 9 Ball) in the Trans Tasman Team over a dozen times and still holds the record of twelve out of twelve wins during a test match.

Being selected to play in the very prestigious Challenge of Champions, a 9-Ball event where only eight players from around the world are asked to play is very special. On both occasions Greg has narrowly lost 5-7, giving a very solid performance while representing Australia.

With extensive experience and multiple titles to his name, Greg is a well-known force in the sport. His passion for the game and for passing on his wealth of knowledge and experience to all comers, whether young or old, is just one of the reasons he is highly respected in both Australia and New Zealand.
